Hilary Aleksa Harwell has been designing and creating wearable art for nearly a decade. She studied under Raychel Wengenroth at Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan, Connecticut. Hilary decided to pursue metalsmithing shortly after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's in Anthropology. She has recently returned to the amazing beauty of Colorado and currently resides in the Wash Park area of Denver with her husband, 3 young children and two Mastiffs, Cujo & Lola.
Hilary works primarily in sterling silver, incorporating elements of simplicity and fluidity into her designs. She is inspired by natural elements, the interplay of color and texture, and the unique gemstones she has acquired over the years. Most recently, she has found inspiration in the crystalline beauty of drusy stones.
Her sense of style and her ability to implement unique design concepts help Hilary to create timeless pieces of art for her clients. Should you be interested in partnering with Hilary to create your own piece and for wholesale order queries, please use the contact sheet to submit.
Hilary currently has her work showcased in galleries and boutiques throughout the Southeastern United States. Her work will be featured at the Artisan Center in Denver in June 2012. For a complete list of locations, please click on the Links tab above.
